Fidelio, Enduring Message – Road To Beethoven 4

2020 marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Road To Beethoven is a series tracing the magnificent mark he left. The fourth installment focuses on the appeal of his only opera Fidelio which Beethoven gave all his attention to. This opera is infused with Beethoven’s “message” paralleling that of his masterpiece, the Symphony No. 9. The programme interprets the opera by focusing on the “enduring message” which Beethoven encouraged throughout his lifetime.
