Swan Lake – The National Ballet Of Japan
Miyako Yoshida, who has a long career as a principal dancer of the London-based Royal Ballet, became the artistic director of the National Ballet of Japan in the 2020/21 season. The program to open the season was to be “Swan Lake”, choreographed by Sir Peter Wright, who has maintained a friendship with Yoshida since her years in England. It was forced to be postponed for a year due to the pandemic, and the much-awaited performance was presented in October 2021 to a packed audience. The ballet was recorded in 4K images and 5.1 surround sound.
