8K: Revival Of Legendary Fine Performances – Furtwängler Conducts “Don Giovanni“
In his latest year of 1954, the legendary maestro Wilhelm Furtwängler conducted the opera “Don Giovanni” at the Felsenreitschule in Salzburg. Negative film capturing the historical performance was stored frozen at minus 4 degrees in the archives of Unitel. NHK successfully remastered the precious negatives into 8K super-high definition images and 22.2 multichannel surround sound. Furtwängler’s penetrating gaze is now revived in the 21st century!!
