Mitridate, Re Di Ponto: State Opera Unter Den Linden

“Mitridate, re di Ponto” was created by Mozart when he was 14. Satoshi Miyagi, general artistic director of the Shizuoka Performing Arts Center (SPAC) who is also esteemed globally, has become the first Japanese to be invited by the State Opera Unter den Linden as director. His directorial technique where he saw Japan at the end of World War 2 in the cycle of battle and revenge surrounding King Mitridate drew attention.
