The King’s Singers In Tokyo
Formed by six students at King’s College in 1968, the British a cappella ensemble still reigns at the top for half a century to this day. The group has remained active despite changes of members and is also popular in Japan. Its tour commemorating the 50th anniversary of its founding held in 2018 was highly successful. The group’s enormous repertoire said to include more than 2,000 pieces certainly makes them the “King” of the a cappella world. A program with a focus on Christmas was presented during the concert. They performed a wide range of pieces from early music to arrangements of Beatles’ tunes.
