Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra – The Inaugural Concert From Warsaw

The answer to violence is culture. The Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra brings together Ukrainian musicians, some of whom are refugees, others members of European orchestras. ARTE broadcasted the world premiere of the orchestra live from Warsaw. On the programme: Valentin Silvestrov, Frédéric Chopin, Johannes Brahms and Ludwig van Beethoven. The orchestra is led by Canadian conductor Kerri-Lynn Wilson, who has Ukrainian ancestry. Soloists: Anna Fedorova (piano), Liudmyla Monastyrska (soprano)
